What to Do with the Leftovers?Okay, tell me if you've ever done this: It's Monday lateafternoon. You decided yesterday that starting today you weregoing to 1) eat right, and 2) start to get regular exercise, and3) give up all your bad habits. So, you're picking things uparound the house and starting to notice all the little bits andpieces of leftovers from the past weekend. Namely, cookies here, and small bits of candy there. In my house today I noticed I hadthree large shortbread cookies (I'm overly fond of shortbreadcookies with icing), several bags of the candy that resemble realrocks which I keep saying I want to put in a jar, but I haven'tfound just the right jar (for display, you know), and theleftovers from the latest summer picnic, which in my case isabout five pounds of fruit salad - not bad in itself, but I canonly eat so much fruit salad. And Then There's the WineOf course, I had to buy some wine at a tasting on Saturday (Ialways buy it, don't know why I think those wine tasting's aresuch a great deal - they always entice me to buy), and nowthere's an open bottle waiting. So, my thoughts are, "Do I eat this, or not?" "Do I throw it awayand WASTE it?" "Oh, my, dear no. That's not a good idea," Ithink. Oh, I just remembered there is also an entire plate oflarge cinnamon rolls (Cinnabon style) I made Friday night. They'll be stale soon. That's not good. It'd be such a shame tothrow them all away, and I only ate one.And so it goes. Do I talk myself into eating up the last remnantsof the weekend, thus going into Tuesday and possibly Wednesdaywith the taste of weekend indulgence still on my lips, or do Idecide, really decide, I've had enough? It's time to eat better, like I just said, last night. Remember last night? It seems solong ago now ...What if We Just Start Tomorrow? It's interesting how easily we talk ourselves right out of whatwe had decided yesterday was such a good idea. So what's wrongwith just starting tomorrow? What's wrong is that tomorrow nevercomes. It's always today, right now. You'll never reach thatelusive tomorrow. Yes, the date on the calendar changes, but you, standing where you are, right here, right now, are still here, inthe present. You can't live in the past, nor can you live in thefuture. You can only live in the moment.Decide Right Now: What Do you Want?So if you want to decide, then decide right now. What do youwant, really want for yourself? Do you want to continue toindulge yourself at every turn, or do you want to exercise just abit more discipline and see if you can get into better shape? It's not about what you'll miss out on, it's about what you willgain. Better health, more energy, endurance. You'll feel better, you'll look better. It's all about what you'll gain, but in theimmediate moment, it's so easy to think only of right now. Yes,but right now this would taste so good, wouldn't it, and there'salways tomorrow.I've found that when I make a mental shift, a real shift, notjust a decision but a true change in my thinking, then I followthrough, and not until then. All the times I try to talk myselfinto doing things that I don't really want to do, are notsuccessful. Probably they're not successful because I don'treally want to do them. How do you get yourself motivated and stay that way? I start witha list. List all the reasons you want to lose some weight. Thinkin terms of a mini goal of five or 10 pounds. Make it a one monthgoal, not a lifetime goal. It's fine to have long-term goals, butif you really want to learn to change for good, then you need tomake it something you can live with. Incorporate real change intoyour lifestyle and you can indulge at a holiday party without itmaking any difference; without it throwing you off the deep end. When you go on vacation you'll come back maybe a couple poundsheavier, but it won't matter. You'll have eaten what you wanted, you'll have had a wonderful time, and not stressed yourself overwhether you're gaining weight. Why I want to lose WeightWhat's my first mini-goal? (1 week to 1 month). What's mylonger-term goal? (1 month to 1 year)How strict must I be for this to work? (Pre-planned or legalizeddeviations works very well for many people)Sometimes, especially if you use a plan that incorporates"legalized cheating" then you'll end up with some leftover food.Get used to getting rid of it. Give it away, throw it away, itreally doesn't matter. You're not doing yourself any favor byeating all the leftovers. So what if the cinnamon rolls go stale?I ate one and really enjoyed it, and that's what's important.Others also ate some cinnamon rolls, and even if no one had any,did I make them to eat them all, or did I make them because I wasin the mood to make cinnamon rolls? Does eating them all myselfmake any sense at all?Sometimes I feel a little guilty making goodies and then givingthem away because I think I'm not making it any easier for othersto stick to their plans, but then I remember what I do in thatsituation, and I have to assume others are adult about how theydecide to take care of themselves too. If I decide I'm going toeat in a more healthful manner, and someone brings somethingunexpected, it's not difficult in most all circumstances tosimply say, "No, thanks. I already ate," or take some on a platefor later.Since I don't go on "restrictive" diets, then I can incorporatepretty much anything into my day's food plan. I just eat it, whenI'm hungry. I find it so much easier to base my eating on whetherI'm hungry, than on whether something is there. Just becauseunexpected people show up, doesn't mean you use them, does it?Honestly, do you think anyone is upset when you leave a bit morefor them? I don't think so.The Case of the Missing Wedding CakeWhen I was a teenager my mother remarried and I offered to buythe wedding cake. I had an ulterior motive though. My favoritebakery, Beaverton Bakery, was where I intended to get the cake, and I knew by ordering far more than would be necessary there'dbe lots and lots of leftovers for me to gorge myself silly onafter the festivities. Ha.What happened instead is a blur. I don't know really whathappened to the cake but I do know I not only didn't get anyleftovers, I never even had a piece at the wedding. I tend to getcaught up in the people and don't usually eat at parties, so Ipaid it no attention, and much to my dismay someone else hadbundled it up before I got there to do so. Alas, I was never totaste that cake at all. Such a disappointment - it must havebeen, I still remember it now and that's been more than 24 yearsago now! LOL.Food memories stick with me for a very long time. That day is myprime example of how I would not have minded one little bit ifmore people had said, "No thanks, I just ate," and passed on thecake. I just wish I'd been a little more alert in setting aside ahunk for later..

By: I just finished working my quads on a weight machine. My head races and my body hums all in an attempt to lose weight. Only moments ago, my legs worked so hard that they began to fail. They worked so hard that my muscle tissue cried out in pain and began to tear. Now having just finished, my body sweating with the effort, I can rest for a couple of minutes before doing it again. Each day this week I will have targeted a different group of muscles. Each day I will work them, stretch them, and tear them. Each day, I will work so hard that my heart beats a new rhythm into my metabolism. Each day, my body will set to repair the damage I have done in such manner that it does not happen again. Each day doggedly break my body down and force it to improve itself. This is working out, this is getting fit, this is what it takes. As I sit and stretch between sets, my quads still reeling, I scan around the gym. I take in those around me. At this hour, there are few people willing to brave the cold mornings to make the run to the gym. There are two people working with some free weights near by. They are within earshot and while I am resting I listen to them complain about, work, relationships, their bosses, clothes, their bodies and their friends. The conversation flows from one topic to the next seamlessly and it is clear by their candor that they know each other well; that they have been friends and work out buddies for a while. What grabs my attention however, is not the meandering topics of their conversation, but the fact that conversation is occurring at all. I ponder this until I start on my second set. As my second set starts, all I can focus on is exercise; flexing my muscles against the weight. During the relatively short time it takes for me to run through my set and completely exhaust my quads, every action, every breath becomes an exercise in methodical control and economy. Every action I make is geared to the exercise at hand. When I finish and I reengage with the world, I come back to the two people and their on-going conversation. As they chat, they work through a routine of exercises that look habitual and ritualized. When they work their muscles, they go through the motions; intent more on the conversation and company then their bodies. There is a point to this. There is a myth, an urban legend if you will, that says going to the gym will make you lose weight. It is a logical extension of the same myth that says I need to go to the gym, I am out of shape. These two ideas have become synonymous with healthy lifestyles and fitness. For the two people I observed, simply being at the gym was enough to assuage their concerns for their physical health. The bottom line is that this is an illusion. To make yourself fit, you need to break your body down and force it to rebuild. The idea being that after the rebuild, you will be stronger and fit. This cannot occur by merely being in a gym, or as in the case with the talking pair, this cannot occur by going through the motions of working out. Before I get accused of being a fanatical meat head just understand that I carry an extra few pounds around my waist. All I know is that to really make progress, to have physical and visible results, you must have an impact on your body. The kicker is that they almost have it made. These people are at they gym early on a cold morning. They are committed to their weight loss goals. They go through the motions of their exercises like a well rehearsed dance routine. Clearly they want to achieve something with their bodies. If they just focused, and worked their bodies just a little more; enough, say, to deny them the ease of conversation, then the results would be tremendous. The whole point is that you have to be clear about what it is you want to accomplish. I know with every fiber in my being, that I will burn off the extra weight around my waist and that I will firm up my desk loving muscles. But I won't do it by talking..

Yes Virginia, the fail-safe weight loss formula exists. It's so simple, we overlook it. Instead, we focus on the latest fad diet or the newest exercise video. The fail-safe weight loss formula appears in an audio program authored by the self-help guru Brian Tracey. Here's his version of this formula . . . Eat LESS, Exercise MORE. GUARANTEED EVERY TIMEDisappointed? So was I. After all, we are very familiar with this message. But, if we pay attention to our daily habits, this formula will work EVERY TIME. Guaranteed. How can this formula succeed 100% of the time? It's simple math. And math always works. ALWAYS. Okay, so you have a trust issue when it comes to weight loss. Let's PROVE that it works. IT'S A NUMBERS GAMESuppose you've been gaining about 10 pounds a year for the past 3 years. If your daily caloric requirement is 2000, you have been on average 100 calories over your requirement every day for the past 3 years. If your goal is to simply reverse the 30-pound weight gain, you need to reduce your daily caloric intake by 200 calories. Do ONE of the following: Eat 200 calories LESS a day. Burn 200 calories MORE a day. Combine eating less and increasing your activity level for a total of 200 calories, for example, eat 100 less and burn 100 more. You could lose the 30 pounds by changing a few habits. First, eat half the usual muffin a day. Then, climb the stairs in your apartment building every day instead of pushing elevator buttons. The next month, you could lose the entire muffin and park your car a little further away from the building where you work as well as climbing the stairs. Over time, you will lose the weight. You have to. It's in the numbers. And you haven't starved yourself or gotten into the dreaded "I have to go to the health club" routine. 5 STEPS TO GUARANTEED WEIGHT LOSSIf your eyes glaze over when you read numbers, here's the easy part: all the information you need is online at www.caloriecontrol.org The steps are as follows: Decide how many pounds you want to lose. EXAMPLE: 20 pounds	Decide how long in days you want it to take. Be realistic about the length of time. EXAMPLE: 365 days	Multiply the pounds identified in number 1 by 3500.	EXAMPLE: 20 pounds X 3500 = 70,000 calories	Divide the result in step 3 by the number of days to get the number of daily calories. EXAMPLE: 70,000 calories divided by 365 days = 192 calories per day.	Decide if you will eat less, increase your activity level, or both to get to the number in step 4. Use the web site calorie and exercise calculator (www.caloriecontrol.org) to figure out how you can eat less and exercise more. So, are you going to be fat forever? Or will you use the fail-safe formula: Eat LESS, Exercise MORE. ALWAYS REMEMBER (and NEVER forget) ? Take it one day at a time..

This is a response to a client that we have been working with, and a website they are building that will sell an eBook on "Hair Styling Tips". We thought the information was important and relevant enough to include in this months newsletter.==CREATING A WEBSITE THAT SELLS==The website that we'll be dealing with sells an eBook based on hair styling tips, but these concepts should translate very easily into any website that sells a product or service. In this article, we touch on subjects such as:The use of graphics on a web pageCopywriting insightsWeb Page HeadlinesBenefits, not featuresAnd more. Our hope and desire is that you find this article of value, and that you find thoughts and ideas you can put to use in your own online business.Let us begin...==COPYWRITING SUGGESTIONS==Copywriting is probably one of the most mis-understood elements of marketing, and I am not going to claim I know it all. Website copywriting is more than just your typical "one-liners" that we see so much in today's Internet marketing arena.I've learned a couple of lessons over the past few years that are usually pretty tough for people to get a-hold of, and most of them I have learned from my beautiful wife Marsha. My wife Marsha has been a hair stylist for over 22 years, and for more then 18 of those years has managed one of the largest hair styling salons here in Ohio.I've learned more about advertising from her then I ever have from any Internet guru, although that's not to say we cannot learn from them. "Internet guru's that is"Here are our suggestions for the copywriting on your web page. The first thing to understand is:People/Customers only care about themselves. At first, at least until the customer gets to know you a little better, they are only concerned about one thing, and that is "whats in it for me".Think about these thoughts for a moment:I want to feel betterI want to look betterI want people attracted to meI want more moneyI want to be acceptedAnd there are many more thoughts that run through our minds as human beings everyday. They are all natural thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and everybody has them, although some may not admit to it.Also, we must understand why people buy things. Do we as shoppers buy what is needed in life, or do we buy what makes us feel good, look better, feel happier, etc?If we think about this for awhile, and think about it with honesty, we will find that 98% of the time that we are buying something, it's because we think that it will make us feel good, be happier, or look better in some way. With that being said, now we can ask ourselves what is it about our copy that presents something to our customers that will benefit them in some way?If I am selling a book on "Tips for quick and easy hair styling solutions", then I am going to put myself in my customers shoes, and ask what is it that is going to catch my attention? If I write something like the following:Hello, my name is Marsha, and I've been a hair stylist for more then 20 years now, and I guess you could say, I know a little something when it comes to hair styling. And I would continue on here with more about what I know, etc.As a potential customer, would you really care to read anymore? Most likely not. But, what if I were to write the following:Give me just 5 minutes, and I'll show you 5 simple tips you can use to have the most beautiful, full bodied hair you've ever seen... And I'll teach you how to do it in as little as 7 minutes a day.or how about this one...Imagine, you wake up in the morning, wash your hair, and just 7 minutes later you've got the most full bodied, beautiful hair you've ever seen... Warning, don't be surprised when you get more attention at the office today. And there are many more ideas, but the bottom line is, what one of these would grab your attention, and make you want to read more? When writing anything on your website, always think "customer BENEFITS".Again, we can help more in these areas if you want them, but the greatest single gift we can give you to help convert visitors to sales is to teach you to sell benefits, not features.==WEBSITE GRAPHICS - SUGGESTIONS==Graphics on websites are a heavily debated issue, although we feel very strongly that they shouldn't be, and here's why.It all depends on what your selling or trying to sell.Internet marketing information based products do not need all of the graphical content as would a company trying to sell a new video game for the Play Station, Game Boy, or any of the game boxes available. These types of customers want to see what they're buying before they shell out $50 or more for that "next big game".Internet marketers are looking for usable information on how to market their businesses online. They typically do not need the graphic intensive website design that a game company would.BUT, we also have to remember that just because we may not classify ourselves as a "typical" Internet marketer, we are never the less marketing our products on the Internet, whether or not they are PC games, Internet marketing information products, or how to best style your hair. With that being said, what we need to find is a "middle" ground that will lend itself to our products and services.Back to our hair style website idea, I would recommend the following, which we feel will lend itself greatly to enhancing the "over-all" effect, and would help increase sales of your product.Suggestions:1) Thinking back to our "Copywriting" insights, and the natural human emotion of wanting to look better or feel that we are "attractive", it would play in nicely to have a few pictures of very attractive people peppered through-out the website or sales page.We would suggest that these images would lend themselves to the content at very precise moments, and help add "effect" to what is being stated.Example:If your explaining how they will learn that they can have better, more natural, full-bodied hair, then you might want to add a small, but very clear image of a beautiful woman throwing her hair back. This image would be of a woman with "full-bodied" hair, and of medium length.Focus on a picture that you, yourself may feel deeply inside that "I'd sure love hair like that". You need to find that "emotional" moment, and then use it to your copywriting's advantage.2) It has been shown that by adding a 3D graphical image of your book or eBook can increase sales by as much as 300% and more.It has been found that this gives the potential customers "subconscious" mind something to hold on to and feel."Touch"Touch is something that we as marketers lack greatly on the Internet, and we see no such abilities of this in our foreseeable future. The only option we have at this point are graphics, and images, along with sound. We know that graphics and images, along with proper copywriting skills can sell a lot of products. We know this to be fact for the simple reason that we witness this type of content everyday, all day through TV commercials. How do we know this to be fact?No one would spend the billions of dollars they do, each year, creating TV commercials if they did not increase the sales of their products.Example:Without mentioning a name, have you seen the TV commercials where the women who wash their hair with a certain hair care product, seem to be in Ecstasy?OOohh, AAaahhh, Oh Yes, Yes, YES!!!Sound familiar? And do we honestly believe, that if those commercials did not increase sales of that product, that this company would really spend the millions of dollars a year they spend for them?Of course not. Spending with no return on investment is the fast way to kill a company.==FINAL THOUGHTS==There are many more areas that will help create and generate more sales from a website, and we have hardly scratched the surface here. But, you should be able to pull out the beginnings of a very good start at creating a website that can generate revenue very early on.We must come to understand, that although there may be ideas, and thoughts that seem foreign to us, and some may even feel uncomfortable, if we want to create sales, we will have to over-come some of those boundaries within ourselves.==IN CLOSING==Whatever you decide to do, one thing to remember is, it's one thing to focus on benefits, and peoples emotions, but a completely different thing to lie.We never suggest lying to customers. If a product cannot produce the results that the sales page says it can, then the sales page needs to be changed to fit the product. If not, customers will not be happy, it can ruin a business, and people who do it can get into more trouble then it has ever been worth.Focus on benefits in your sales copy, a website that is fresh and new (not a look-alike), build brand awareness, and customer service, and you will have the beginnings of a great website, and online business..

Today two new hair loss products that may offer help to men that suffer from hair loss were introduced at Onlyhairloss.com ( www.onlyhiarloss.com ) . Both hair loss products were developed by Houston based physician Peter H. Proctor, PhD, MD, after 20 years of development and screening of hair loss treatment agents. Nano shampoo for hair loss and Prox-N for hair loss are now available for the general public without a prescription. For more information see www.onlyhairloss.com/proxn/ Proxiphen N ( "Prox-N" ) is a topical formulation of many of the nonprescription hair-loss treatment agents coming out of our screening program. ProxN (proxiphen N) is a combination of three different hair loss treatment agents found to help combat thinning hair: ?SODs (Superoxide Dismutase) - Helps movement of nitric oxide to the hair follicle and prevents free radical damage to the hair cells?N-Oxide (nitric oxide) - Increased presence of intracellular nitric oxide has been shown to increase the size and section of the hair follicle.?Copper binding peptides - Copper is vital to having healthy hair and a healthy scalp. By applying specific copper peptides directly to areas of hair loss and thinning hair, it's possible to stimulate hair growth. NANO shampoo contains the minoxidil-like hair growth stimulator NANO ( nicotinic acid N-Oxide ). In addition, NANO shampoo contains an SODase-type hair growth stimulating agent. NANO Shampoo is a good adjuvant treatment for Proxiphen N. NANO Shampoo is the perfect companion to Proxiphen N (Prox-N). It contains the Minoxidil-like hair growth stimulator NANO ( nicotinic acid N-Oxide ). In addition, NANO shampoo contains an SODase-type hair growth stimulating agent. NANO shampoo for hair loss takes a minimum of 3-6 months before seeing results when uses by itself. It's possible to gain better results by using it in conjunction with Prox-NFor more information on Nano shampoo for hair loss and Prox-N for hair loss see www.onlyhairloss.com/proxn/.

Hair loss is common in cancer patients. We constantly are reminded of this devasting side effect when we see pictures of hundreds of children with bald heads who have been treated with chemotherapy. In addition to this side effect, reports show that 25-50 percent of hospital cancer patients suffer from Protein Calorie Malnutrition and only 1/3 of them survive five years. To help prevent these side effects, many doctors are recommending to their patients a food from Asia (liquid fermented/nitrogenated soybean beverage) that has been used as a parallel therapy in many documented cases, alongside traditional cancer treatments. The beverage's benefits include strengthening of the immune system and a reduction in side effects normally associated with these types of treatments. Hydrolyzed soy protein liquid becomes a free-form amino acid, which has been found to enter the bloodstream effectively. The soy liquid protein levels have achieved blood protein levels of up to 8? percent, comparable to hospital treatments administered through an I.V., which averaged results between 8-11 percent. This is an especially important factor to underscore for protein deficient cancer patients.????As explained in the book, Cancer Disarmed Expanded (www.Safegoodspub.com), the fermented/nitrogenated soy's benefits for the immune system are profound in the manner in which penetration is accomplished into the cancer cell, where its constituents can effectively weaken it. The nitrogenation process connects high levels of nitrogen atoms, usable to the body, directly to the small bioactive isoflavone and encourages absorption of the soy by the cancer cell. This nitrogenated compound when absorbed by the cancer cell, provides a camouflaged entry for the anticancer proteins and phytochemicals. Once inside, the soybean protein isolate destroys blood vessels by changing the DNA back to normal. This reprogramming shuts off the release of the enzyme that dissolves blood capillaries and promotes angiogenesis (the production of new blood vessels) that feed tumor growth. Once the cancer cell is disabled and weakened, the immune system and the T-cells can use the nitric acid to dissolve them. It is this process that makes specific concentrated, soybean liquids so distinctive.Clinical evidence indicates that selective nutrition may be able to influence the cancer process even after initiation. Although adjuvant nutrition is not encouraged or endorsed as the sole therapy for aggressive cancer, it may prevent hair loss and Protein Calorie Malnutrition, which has been linked to increased mortality, surgical failures, reduced response to chemotherapy, slow wound healing, weakness, and apathy. Further information on this beverage can be obtained online www.longlifecatalogs.com.

At this writing, my hair is close to a hand's breath above my waist. It has been some variation of long mostly since being a teen, out of preference. Though, after having read an old book on the thoughts and beliefs that originated around a woman's hair, with much name calling toward the female gender, I did thorough research of scripture in reference to hair. Having discovered sheep verses goats being symbolic of types of people, I traced to find a definition of their hair as being the offspring seed of each. Paul referred to himself as a type of father. Without going into the various symbolic definitions of the term 'woman', even as we perceive it to mean today, some are mothers by having literal children. But, even those without children, who teach children in Sunday School, take on a partial role of motherhood. Though, greater yet is when we take upon a spiritual nurturing role to spiritual babes. The offspring of a woman's spiritual seed would bring much more glory than the appearance of her physical head. On rare occasion, God allows me to see a small glimpse of His glory rising in people who've been blessed through my ministries. And, my heart glows to see such beauty, a bit of God blossoming in each one of them. However, only God can count the number of hairs ~ the number of times that seed has been multiplied. These are conclusions God led me to, giving me much peace. But, if literal hair is, in any way, a testimony for which we can minister to those who believe as tradition, let God be glorified. "Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold,or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."1 Peter 3:3-4? by http://our.homewithgod.com/heavenlyinspirations/This writing may be used in its entirety, with credits in tact, for non-profit ministering purposes..
